Plus we get all the sales taxes. Plus reimbursements for additional security. We also got an expanded I-30 and a reconfigured interchange at Hwy. 360 & Division Street - two projects that probably wouldn't have happened for many years otherwise.

From what I understood, Arlington's total outlay was capped at something like $355 million, plus however much it costs for interest on our debt (which is the only variable I'm aware of).

After 30 years, Arlington will own Cowboys Stadium outright. Some people claimed that was a bad arrangement because who knows how technologically inferior a building it will be by then.

I would think the Super Bowl Host Committee, headed by Bill Lively and Roger Staubach, would be a lawsuit target before the City of Arlington. Jerry Jones, meanwhile, doesn't seem to have anyplace to hide!Tim Laitinenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07659772910035894952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-63535302771376344.post-6775339437377984372011-02-09T12:41:16.424-06:002011-02-09T12:41:16.424-06:00yeah, i kind of liked seeing that Jones was includ...yeah, i kind of liked seeing that Jones was included, but i'm sure he had it somewhere hidden in his deal with Arlington to make sure the city has to pay if he loses, just like they had to pay for all of the rest of his new toy. If i recall the basics of the deal: Jerry gets all the profits, Arlington gets all the bills and debts :(Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-63535302771376344.post-37639481426468872842011-02-09T12:20:06.425-06:002011-02-09T12:20:06.425-06:00Lol... you mean the fact that Seating Solutions, t...Lol... you mean the fact that Seating Solutions, the contractor, is based in New York? Well, so's the NFL, who's the biggest culprit in this whole mess anyway. Today, some Cowboys season ticket holders will file a class-action lawsuit against Jerry Jones, so this tale is far from over.Tim Laitinenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07659772910035894952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-63535302771376344.post-84215371816531410642011-02-09T11:30:05.338-06:002011-02-09T11:30:05.338-06:00I noticed in your interest in looking to the contr...I noticed in your interest in looking to the contractor who may be most at fault, you didn't mention where they were from :PAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
